Gleneagles Golf Club

A colorful but dedicated bunch of golfers who attempt to conquer a picturesque 9/18 hole course (Gleneagles Golf Course at McLaren Park)

Who
we are

The club, initially called McLaren Park Golf Club was established in 1979 consisting of the most diverse golfing community in the world: San Francisco mayors and ditch diggers, country club members, "Joe/Jane" muni and high school teams.

We play regularly with twice-monthly tournaments at Gleneagles Golf Course at McLaren Park.

Golf writers, historians and loyalists agree that there is no other golf course in the region, country or world quite like it.

Designed by Jack Fleming, who was superintendent of San Francisco golf course and an early protege of Dr. Alister MacKenzie while he built Cypress Point Golf Club, this full length nine-holer has captured and broken the hearts of many a golfer for decades.

Both high handicappers and scratch players alike come here to test themselves on the challenging contours that make us all equal and humbled.

Playing with a lively group of golf enthusiasts who appreciate the game and respect one another’s skills. It’s a fantastic opportunity to sharpen your technique and elevate your play.

Enjoy twice-monthly tournaments featuring both individual and team events, followed by delicious catered fare and refreshing drinks at San Francisco’s iconic bar, offering unmatched views.
